Dr. Berry joined Tuscaloosa Ophthalmology in October of 2018. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Virginia in 2012. She graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama (UAB) School of Optometry in 2017 with a doctorate of optometry degree and a masters in vision science. She went on to complete a residency through Ohio State University with a focus on ocular disease and primary care at the Veterans Affairs Medical centers in Columbus and Chillicothe, Ohio.
While attending UAB’s school of optometry, Dr. Berry served as secretary for the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, which provided eye care services and exams to rural and impoverished communities within Alabama, surrounding states, and internationally. Dr. Berry was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society after achieving a high level of academic excellence. She was also a member of the American Optometric Student Association during her time at UAB.
Dr. Berry provides general comprehensive eye exams for all ages with expertise in the management of various ocular diseases, including glaucoma and macular degeneration, contact lens fittings, pediatric management, dry eye syndrome, and low vision. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Alabama Optometric Association.
Dr. Berry is originally from Virginia, but is excited to be staying in Alabama following her optometric training. She currently resides in Birmingham, AL with her husband.
Dr. Berry is currently scheduling appointments for comprehensive eye care with Tuscaloosa Ophthalmology in the Aliceville and Tuscaloosa locations.
